Daniel is the foremost Puerto Rican actor of his generation, having starred in some of the most acclaimed films coming from the island, including “Linda Sara,’ “Nicolás y los Demás” and “Dios los Cría,” for writer-director Jacobo Morales, as well as in Marcos Zurinaga’s “La Gran Fiesta,” the film that single-handedly jump started the Puerto Rican film industry in 1985.

Daniel is also known throughout Latin America as the handsome leading man in many highly successful telenovelas, such as “Mariana de la Noche,” “Cadenas de Amor,” “Tormento,” “Carmen Querida” and “Quirpa de Tres Mujeres” as well as in the feature films “El enterrador de Cuentos,” “Amaneció de Golpe,” “Cien Años de Perdón” and “Aventuras a Pesar Suyo.” He has also been featured in several US films and television shows.

We immediately thought of Daniel to play “Carmona,” a cold-blooded government bureaucrat who finds himself betrayed his former political cronies. Coordinating his participation took a little effort, due to Daniel’s busy work schedule, but the dates were finally worked out, and Daniel was able to join the production
