Marta is a veteran actress of Cuban origin, and has been active in the Puerto Rican theatre, television and radio since 1971. A graduate of the Academia de Arte Dramático of Havana, Cuba, her most recent credits include the Televicentro television series “Esto Pasó Aquí,” and the WIPR-TV mini series “Victoria.”

In prior years, she acted in the popular Telemundo telenovelas “Tanairí,” “Milagro de Amor,” and “Señora Tentación,” as well as in the play “Madrugada de Pasiones,” at San Juan's Bellas Artes theater , and in several television commercials.

When we auditioned Marta, we were happy to see we had found the perfect actress to play Wanda’s mother. When we explained we were shooting this film in a style that did not adhere to the norm, she was delighted and eager to try something new. Her gentleness and natural performance contributed largely to a pleasant filming experience for all.
